As a part of the creation of the new Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) for Rincon, the city wanted to reimagine Highway 21, which mainly had strip mall style development. Inspire created design standards that focused on the orientation of the building, location of parking, and articulation standards to

bring a more interesting design to the corridor. 

The guidelines were intended to be consistent with the guidelines that Inspire also prepared for the County, which included trails, preferred parking locations, building articulation, and dimensional standards.
