Treasure Island Municipal Branding
A fresh take on a classic theme
Treasure Island is a barrier island community on Florida’s Gulf Coast, home to approximately 6,800 residents and a thriving tourism economy that attracts thousands of visitors annually. The city’s previous branding had remained largely unchanged for over two decades, making it less reflective of the community’s evolving identity and growing appeal as a destination. With increased tourism and a desire to strengthen civic pride, the city recognized the need for a refreshed brand that captures its laid-back charm and forward-looking vision.
Inspire led a collaborative branding process grounded in research and community engagement. Our team began by defining the city’s tone and personality through stakeholder interviews and a pre-branding survey to capture community preferences and demographic insights. We launched a Social Pinpoint engagement platform to curate ideas and gather both qualitative and quantitative feedback. Building on this input, we designed a versatile logo system and complementary assets that work seamlessly with the existing City Seal, extending across websites, social media, and branded items such as water bottles, towels, and business cards.
The new branding system has strengthened Treasure Island’s identity and enhanced its visibility across multiple channels. By aligning the city’s image with its aspirations for growth and community pride, the project delivered a flexible toolkit that supports marketing, tourism, and civic engagement.
