The City of West Park engaged Inspire to provide ongoing, on‑call planning support to strengthen day‑to‑day operations within its Planning Department. As a small city, West Park needed professional assistance to enhance customer service, improve the review of zoning and development applications, and ensure the consistent application of city codes. 

Located in southeastern Broward County, West Park is a compact and diverse community experiencing steady redevelopment interest, infill activity, and evolving land‑use needs. Effective communication with residents, local businesses, Broward County, regional partners, and state agencies is essential to the City’s ability to manage growth and ensure regulatory clarity. Inspire provides comprehensive adjunct planning services, including onsite staffing and ongoing technical support. Core responsibilities include customer service at the planning counter, review of zoning‑related applications, and cost‑recovery review of development submissions. Inspire staff review and inspect Certificates of Use, prepare staff reports, and present at the Planning & Zoning Board and City Commission, when needed.

The team also serves as a liaison between the City and multiple partners -- including Broward County, the South Florida Regional Planning Council, and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity -- helping coordinate efforts and ensure compliance with regional and state requirements. Inspire's partnership has supported West Park’s ability to grow responsibly, enforce its regulations, and respond quickly to community needs.
